             CFIRC BREAKING NEWS

           DAY 1 - AUGUST 12, 1999

        THEY'RE B-A-A-CK!

WHY DOES CANADA ACT AS AN UNPAID AGENT OF THE CHINESE TRIADS?

THESE PEOPLE CAME HERE AS PART OF A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE. IF WE DIDN'T
"INTERCEPT" THEM, THEIR OWN PEOPLE WOULD BE STUCK WITH TWO WEEKS WORTH
OF CARE AND FEEDING UNTIL THEY ARE MOVED INTO BROTHELS, SWEAT-SHOPS, OR
WHATEVER THE GANGS HAVE IN MIND FOR THEM

CANADA HAS EFFECTIVELY TAKEN OVER THAT "DOWN" PERIOD IN THEIR EARNING
POTENTIAL. BY THE TIME THEY'RE RELEASED IN TWO-WEEKS, THEY'LL BE
RECOVERED AND READY TO START PAYING OFF THE DEBT. THAT MEANS MORE
PROFIT FOR THE TRIADS. AND THAT - MEANS MORE SHIPS.

                            - WAKE UP CANADA

______________________________________________________________________________

Well, another 150 have scammed their way in to the most gullible country
on earth. But, by all means, let's keep an open mind! That figure
could always be revised upwards -- remember, the 123 of a couple of
weeks ago started at "around 70". The illegals appear to be from Fujian
Province again. Some reports mention kids as young as 2 and 3, and this
time, a "substantial number" of women. "But they aren't going home.
Like the last batch, they will be housed at Canadian Forces Base
Esquimalt and given lawyers, and refugee hearings." (BCTV, August 11,
1999) The ship is a 50-metre Korean driftnet vessel, poetically named
the the Hueg Ryong Pusan No. 705. The Korean crew of eight was arrested
as they tried to hightail it for the open seas.

                          GEE, THAT'S STRANGE.

THE OTHER BATCH WAS ALLOWED IN BECAUSE THE SHIP
WASN'T SEAWORTHY ENOUGH TO SHOO AWAY.

                      WHAT'S THE EXCUSE THIS TIME?

According to last night's news, a BC lawyer was given this latest ship's
coordinates while it was still far offshore -- his client was concerned
about an alleged exchange of narcotics that was to take place. Just
another delightful insight into the business Canada finds itself so
deeply enmeshed in.

AND THERE'S A LOT OF IT GOING AROUND... (OF COURSE, IF CANADA DIDN'T
ACCEPT IN-HOUSE REFUGEE CLAIMS, NO ONE WOULD BE RISKING their LIVES AND
our RESOURCES)

In Montreal, "two stowaways leaped off a ship into the swift-moving
waters of the St. Lawrence River in a bid to stay in Canada. The two
men - both Tanzanian citizens - were rescued Monday by the Coast Guard
near Quebec City ... the two have been released from hospital and turned
over to immigration officials. They have asked for refugee status."
(Globe and Mail, Thursday, August 12, 1999)

ST. REGIS, Que. - During the past 10 days 13 people trying to illegally
enter the United States through Akwesasne have been picked up by
Akwesasne police...

[n.b. The Akwesasne - St. Regis Mohawk Indian Reservation straddles the
Canada-U.S. border near Cornwall Ontario] ...The latest occurred Tuesday
when three Pakistanis were found in a house in St. Regis village at 7:30
a.m. On the evening of Aug. 5, in the space of an hour and a half, five
Chinese men were picked up after they were seen walking in St. Regis.
On Aug. 1, three Pakistanis, an Indian and a Sri Lankan were picked up
in St. Regis. For the local smuggler whose job it is to take them from
Cornwall through to Akwesasne the cut is often around $1,000 a person.

New Immigration Minister Elinor Caplan: ``There are those that are
suggesting that we use force and I say to them: `Are you proposing that
we sink the boat?''

OH HEAVENS, NO! WE ABSOLUTELY INSIST THAT YOU GIVE THEM TWO YEARS (OR
MORE) OF WELFARE HANDOUTS AND FREE DENTAL CARE AND FREE HOUSING AND FREE
LANGUAGE TRAINING - WITH FREE CHILD CARE AND FREE TRANSPORTATION COSTS
(IF THEY CHOOSE TO AVAIL THEMSELVES OF IT), AND FREE MEDICAL COVERAGE
AND FREE PEER COUNSELLING AND FREE CATERED DINNERS AND FREE TRANSLATION
SERVICES AND FREE ACCESS TO OUR NEARLY BANKRUPT LEGAL AID SYSTEM.
PLEASE - EXTEND THEM THE COURTESY OF FULL CHARTER GUARANTEES AND A
LENGTHY APPEALS PROCESS OF FABULOUS SCOPE AND DIMENSION SHOWING MORE
CONSIDERATION THAN THE AVERAGE CANADIAN HAS COME TO EXPECT OF THIS
COUNTRY -- SIMPLY AS THEIR LITTLE REWARD FOR CHOOSING TO SLITHER INTO
CANADA WHEN WE ALL KNOW THEY'D HAVE BEEN WELCOME ANYWHERE! WE CONSIDER
IT ONE OF THE REAL PRIVILEGES OF CITIZENSHIP-BY-BIRTH TO KEEP ON
SUBSIDIZING THEM AS THEY KEEP ON ROLLING IN! DON'T FORGET TO TOSS US A
BONE JUST BEFORE ELECTION TIME!

THESE PEOPLE PAID TO SNEAK INTO THE MOST SUPINE SOFT-TOUCH AROUND...

       WHY? BECAUSE THEY ARE C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L-S

_______________________________________________________________________

If you responded to the LAST batch by doing ..well, er, ..nothing.. -
consider - the new minister has already felt pressured into making
noises about making some changes. THIS is the time to apply a little
grassroots pressure. Do you want her to think that immigration lawyers
are the only ones who care about immigration policy?

It's YOUR country - why not send a few lousy e-mails and take it BACK?

Immigration Minister Elinor Caplan said she deplored the

prevent such activities. INSIST ON IT!

Reform MP Gary Lunn launched a petition Tuesday calling for
changes to the Immigration Act. "Until the immigration laws
dealing with refugee claimants are seriously revised to prevent
such blatant abuses of the system, Canada will continue to be a
dumping ground for the human smuggling industry," said Lunn.

    Leon Benoit (Ref. Lakeland, Alberta)
    phone: (613) 992-4171 fax: (613) 996-9011

Reform immigration critic Leon Benoit accused the Liberals of
doing nothing to stop a dangerous practice. ``We need to send a
strong message to the world that Canada is not going to put up
with illegal immigration,'' he said in a statement. Benoit said
refugee claimants entering Canada under suspicious circumstances
should be detained until their identification is verified, or
until they have a hearing. Deportation orders for rejected
refugees should be issued immediately, he added.
